Chocolate Peanut Butter No Bake Cookies

I love when a recipe is so easy that you have time to make a second batch. :) These No Bake Cookies are super easy and full of chocolate, peanut butter, and oatmeal.

I made these cookies to take with us tonight to our friends' house for dinner and game night. I love spending time with our friends Laura and Jordan and their adorable 2 year old Anela... they are such great friends and so fun to hang out with. I taste tested the recipe already and I am sure they will have the seal of approval from the group tonight!

Holidays... Time for Sweets and Treats

The holiday season is always full of sweets and treats, which is exactly the way it should be! I will have a glorious 4 day weekend over Christmas and plan to bake up a storm. I look forward to some relaxing time with my husband and a chance to bake some sweets! Here are a few sweets recipes that I have had my eyes on for weeks:
delicious little bites of apple pie in a cookie size... love!
milk chocolate, white chocolate, & butterscotch chips in one cookie... 3 times the sweetness!
popcorn with brown sugar, cinnamon, pecans, & white chocolate... looks amazing!
The holidays are all about indulging in sweets (within some sort of reason) and these recipes will be sure to deliver on sweetness and sugar! I can't wait to bake a few of these next weekend as I enjoy the time off, the Christmas holiday, and relaxing time with my husband. Enjoy!

Christmas Sweets and Treats

I absolutely love the holiday season and Christmas baking is one of my favorite holiday traditions! With all of the great ideas out there, I plan on trying a few new (and ambitious) treat recipes this Christmas season. Check out these adorable photos and links for instructions, and enjoy!
  • North Pole Cupcakes - the perfect decoration and treat for any holiday themed party! (find the free 'north pole sign' download here)
  • White Chocolate Popcorn - a quick and easy snack to put together for friends or co-workers (find the free 'merry christmas tag' download here)
Christmas is such a sweet time of year and I hope you have a chance to do some holiday baking and share the delicious sweets with your family and friends. Enjoy!

      Dinner and Dessert

My mom is visiting for the weekend and tonight was the perfect night to make a new recipe for dinner and a dessert! We made Chicken and Cheese Lasagna Roll-Ups and they turned out great, with one exception... they needed spinach to be added to the recipe. After each new recipe I try, I always ask my husband or family if it is a do-over... and they said yes, as long as I added something green! For dessert (and for breakfast for the new few days) we made White Chocolate Walnut Zucchini Bread and it was pretty darn good. We adapted the recipe to make muffins instead of bread and I love how the zucchini makes the muffins so moist! This recipe calls for a few expensive ingredients though, like mascarpone cheese and white chocolate... so based on that, I probably will not make the recipe again. I have plenty of muffins to last us for the next few days and I can mark the lasagna roll-ups off my list of italian recipes to try (see previous post here). Hope you try a few recipes that you have seen featured here on my blog and be sure to post a comment if you do!
