Since my birthday has come and gone, it is time to change my blog. I will be working on changing the format of my blog over the next fews weeks but so far I have changed the title and kept my list of completed challenges on the right. I am looking forward to posting about the next year and all of the exciting things that are both planned and hopefully surprises. I will continue to post about book club and the reviews of the books we are reading, updates on my new year's resolutions, and plans/goals for the future. I hope you all keep reading about my progress and I look forward to working on living the title of my blog: enjoying life!
This blog started as a journey to 25 where I documented my progress on completing 25 goals/challenges. Now this blog documents the next chapter of our lives as parents of our sweet baby girl, Olivia Claire.

Incredible Vegas Trip!
I just got back last night from the most incredible girl's weekend trip to Vegas! We had an absolute blast! The trip was full of shopping, walking the strip, dancing, and plenty of laughs! Some of our favorite places included the piano bar at Paris Hotel, the fountains at the Bellagio, the dancing at Coyote Ugly in New York New York Hotel, and plenty of shopping at the Forum Shops in Ceaser's Palace. Celebrating my 25th birthday in Vegas with my two best friends was the perfect way to celebrate an amazing year! The memories we created and the thousands of laughs we had will never be forgotten. This trip will definetly be remembered as one of the best vacations ever!

Happy 25th!
Today is my 25th birthday and I am saying a Happy Birthday to myself! I can hardly believe that the past year has flown by and here I am at a quarter of a century today. When I started this blog, I wanted a way to track my goals and challenges and document my journey to 25. I have enjoyed every step of the journey and this blog is like a diary that I can reflect back on days, weeks, and months from now. Even though I did not achieve all 25 challenges, the growth and learning that I have experienced for myself far outweighs the number of challenges achieved. I can look back on the challenges/goals that I did achieve with a huge sense of pride and a joy in how truly blessed my life is. I am looking forward to celebrating the big 25 in Vegas this weekend and I look forward to documenting the next chapter of my life. Now that I have reached my birthday, I will be changing up my blog... changing the title and the format and will start documenting life in a different way. Instead of focusing on achieving challenges and goals (which of course I will still do), I want to focus on the joys of life and the happiness that can be found in everyday. I look forward to starting a new chapter in my life and celebrating the blessings around me. I look forward to enjoying my birthday and can't wait to celebrate another year of my life!

Great Party!
Last night I spent the evening hanging out with my girlfriends to celebrate my 25th birthday a bit early. We all had our pajamas on and watched chick flick movies while enjoying snacks, popcorn, wine, and a delicious apple cake that one of my friends' made for me. It was the perfect way to celebrate with my friends. I received some adorable gifts and really sweet cards from the girls... last night reminded me how lucky I am to have such amazing women in my life. I am truly blessed! If you are looking for a great way to celebrate a party, I have to say pj's are the way to go... everyone was so relaxed which made for a great time!

Countdown till Vegas... One Week to Go!
I can hardly believe that our girl's weekend in Vegas is only a week away! I am really looking forward to a few days away from work and some time to relax and just have fun. We have decided to not set an itinerary for the trip, but instead just go with the flow and see what sounds fun when we get there. I am hoping for great weather so that we can relax by the pool and of course there will be plenty of shopping, sight seeing, and enjoying the nightlife. I am so ready for a break and this trip will be just what I need to both relax and renew and also a great way to celebrate my birthday!

New Book Club Book: Water for Elephants
As always, book club was a blast last night! We had a great time discussing the book and really enjoyed selecting our next selection which will be 'Water for Elephants' by Sara Gruen. We wanted to read this book in time to catch the movie coming out on April 22nd, starring Reese Witherspoon (one of my favorite actresses). This book has been getting rave reviews and I can't wait to get started reading. Book Club night is one of my favorite parts of the month and I am already counting down the weeks till our next get together. I will be sure to post updates about the book once I start reading.

'Resilience' Book Review
I finished the book "Resilience" by Elizabeth Edwards last night and I would have to say the book was just okay. I guess I was expecting something different from this book but she mainly focused on the trials of her life including losing her son in a car accident, having breast cancer, and her husband's affair. I was hoping she was going to provide more detail about her life and how each trial impacted her, but she instead spoke in more of a general sense and focused a lot on how her past experiences became her future. There were several parts of the book that were uplifting and inspiring and those are the parts that I look forward to discussing at book club tonight. The weeks are just flying by and I can't believe we are already ready for another book club night and ready to choose another great book. Can't wait for tonight! :)

Finally Back!
After a few weeks off from blogging, I am finally back! Life has been crazy and I was not feeling well most of last week, so blogging kinda fell to the back burner. I am in complete denial that it is March 7th today and I will be heading to Vegas in less than 3 weeks... can't wait, but where has the last few weeks gone?! As far as my challenges go, here is the quick update:
- the budget for February turned out great! only spent $567.44
- the new book club book, "Resilience" is a great read... currently about half way through it
- still working on dropping a few more pounds before Vegas, need to up the workout routine
- working on planning a pink pajama party for my birthday with my girlfriends
- and excited for book club this thursday at my house!
I am hoping to get back into blogging and update more often in the next few weeks!
